About Mike Philippov


  Mike Philippov is a guitar instructional author, recording artist, composer and a guitar clinician. His expertise revolves around training guitar players how to practice correctly for maximum results. He is passionate about helping guitar players learn to play music in the easiest way possible by understanding how to get the most from every minute of practice time.

Mike started playing guitar in the summer of 2001, inspired by classic rock bands such as Def Leppard, Scorpions and Aerosmith. Mike has had 4 years of musical training at the prestigious Jacobs School Of Music at Indiana University. He has also had extensive lessons on guitar playing, improvising and songwriting, as well as training on how to teach guitar in Tom Hess’s online guitar lessons and guitar teacher training program. Through years of experience as both a guitar student and teacher Mike has developed a number of guitar practice methods that enable anyone to overcome any challenges and frustrations they face in the process of learning guitar.

Guitar Instructional Work:

Mike has authored dozens of articles, products and instructional videos about practicing guitar that are studied by guitar players around the world. His course on mastery of guitar scales and sequences has helped hundreds of musicians to greatly improve their guitar playing.
